The All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil Marching Band competition took place on the 19th of August 2018. One of the bands competing was the Holy Cross Atticall Accordion Band and what a successful day they had. The band put in an outstanding performance to win the prestigious Senior Accordion All Ireland Title for the third consecutive year something never achieved before in the bands log history.
They were also able to compete in the Senior Miscellaneous competition for the first time with a number band members playing the tin whistle for the first time. In his competition they placed 3rd.
The band then took part in the parade which made its way through the packed streets of Drogheda with spectators along the route enjoying the band`s music.
